THE GIFT

Your inspiration fills my room as I write my first salute
To you the one I pray to for support, uplift and guide me
Through the times of Heartache and stress
Guide me through this life to conquer all these tests.
To a place where I can lay my head in peace
And thank you Lord on my bending knees
You are my guide, and my shining star
Going through life’s struggles,
You never strayed far
Thank you for the grace you have given me,
the food, the cloth and the sympathy
For the love you showed me
and you stressed “love thy neighbor” to pass the test.
